• About
Who am I? Well, my name is Ivar Callmander Hjelmström, and I’m a driven and cheerful guy, born 2001 from Gothenburg, who recently moved to Stockholm, Sweden. Why leave Swedens most cheerful city? Well, I wanted to figure out what I want to be when I "grow up." To be honest, I don’t think I’ll ever fully figure it out, but what I do know is that I love being a creative, coming up with ideas, and visualizing both my own thoughts and other people's ideas. Simply put, I love to create and bring things to life.
The same week I turned 18, I got my driver’s license and started working as a runner (still not sure how they let an 18-year-old with less than 7 days behind the wheel do that job?) and PA on various Swedish drama series and large Swedish commercials. After about a year, I began freelancing as a production coordinator on major commercial productions, which gave me a really broad understanding of the industry. Alongside all of this, I kept freelancing as a designer.
Which brings us to August 2023 when I got accepted into Berghs School of Communication to study Communication Design. Right now, I'm soaking up as much knowledge as I can from some of the best creatives in Stockholm (and around the world). I’ll be done in May 2025, but until then, I’ve got time for internships and freelance gigs here and there.
